From ancient gardens to your glass — a living tradition, reborn.

Verdaine began not in a boardroom, but in a garden in Fujian Province — where our founder, Camille Aubert, spent two formative years learning the art of high-mountain tea cultivation from third-generation farmers who measure time in seasons, not quarters.

"Tea is not a product. It is a conversation between land and sky, farmer and leaf."

What she brought back was not just knowledge, but a philosophy: that great flavour is the residue of exceptional care. Every ingredient in Verdaine carries a provenance, a face, a story.

The sparkling element was a serendipitous discovery — a naturally carbonated spring near our Himalayan sourcing partner's estate. The effervescence felt alive, mineral-bright, like the land itself wanted to speak.

We spent three years perfecting the infusion method: cold-brew concentration, low-pressure carbonation, and zero artificial additives. The result is a drink as complex as wine, as grounding as ceremony.

Four blends. Eight origins. One commitment to the extraordinary.

Four expressions of nature

🌿
Forest Dew
White Tea · Elderflower
A luminous, barely-there effervescence. Like morning dew on bamboo — translucent, mineral, faintly floral with a whisper of green apple on the close.
Mineral Floral Crisp Delicate
🌸
Amber Bloom
Oolong · Bergamot
A warm, honeyed character with citrus brilliance — think sun-drenched orchard meets candied ginger. The finish is long, spiced, and indulgently complex.
Honey Bergamot Spice Warm
💜
Twilight Mist
Silver Tips · Lavender
A meditative, purple-hued pour. Lavender soothes while the rare Ceylon silver tips lift — an aromatic paradox that settles like a deep exhale.
Lavender Velvet Earthy Calming
🌺
Scarlet Tide
Black Tea · Hibiscus
Bold and unapologetic. East African hibiscus brings tart ruby brightness against the deep malt of Nilgiri black tea — structured, vivid, alive.

Five botanicals, infinite care

01
Fujian White Peony
✦ Fujian Province, China · 1,800m elevation

Harvested just once yearly during the spring flush, White Peony (Bai Mu Dan) leaves are sun-dried on bamboo trays by the Zheng family using an unbroken technique passed through four generations. The result is a tea of extraordinary subtlety — light on tannins, rich in amino acids, with a natural sweetness that needs no augmentation.

High antioxidant polyphenol content
Low caffeine, naturally calming
Rich in L-theanine for focus
Minimal processing — true terroir
02
Nilgiri Black Tea
✦ Blue Mountains, Tamil Nadu · 2,200m

The Nilgiri hills produce what connoisseurs call "frost tea" — harvested during the cold winter months when temperatures dip and slow the growth, concentrating flavour into dense, malty notes. Our estate partner, Korakundah, is the world's highest-certified organic tea farm. Each leaf is hand-plucked to two-leaves-and-a-bud standard.

Naturally bright, bold flavour
Theaflavins support cardiovascular wellness
100% organic & Rainforest Alliance certified
Single-estate traceability
03
Chiang Rai Oolong
✦ Doi Mae Salong, Northern Thailand

Cultivated by Akha hilltribe communities whose relationship with tea predates colonial influence by centuries, this lightly oxidised oolong occupies the exquisite spectrum between green freshness and black depth. We source exclusively from the Hilltribe Cooperative, ensuring premium pricing reaches the farmers directly — no middlemen.

Supports digestive balance
Direct trade — 40% premium to farmers
Naturally honey-toned, no additives needed
Shade-grown under native forest canopy
04
Rwandan Hibiscus
✦ Nyamasheke District, Western Rwanda

Deep crimson Hibiscus sabdariffa, grown by women's cooperative COOPTHE-RWANDA on the shores of Lake Kivu. The flowers are harvested at peak bloom, sun-dried naturally, then cold-extracted to preserve their vivid anthocyanin pigment and tart intensity. No artificial colour has ever crossed our threshold — this ruby is entirely real.

Rich in anthocyanins & Vitamin C
Supports healthy blood pressure
Women-led cooperative sourcing
Natural colourant — zero additives
05
Provençal Lavender
✦ Plateau de Valensole, France · IGP Certified

True lavandin fine — not the common hybrid — from fields that bloom purple for exactly three weeks each July. The Roure family has grown lavender on this plateau for 80 years, harvesting by traditional sickle at dawn when the essential oil concentration peaks. We use only the flower buds, slow-distilled in small copper alembics to extract the most delicate aromatic fractions.

Linalool content supports relaxation
IGP Geographic Indication protection
Copper-still distillation — artisan process
Organic AB certified since 1997

Behind the Blend

"Every blend is a season. You don't design it — you listen to it."
— Isabelle Fontaine, Lead Tea Blender

Isabelle came to tea via perfumery — twelve years at a Grasse fragrance house gave her a vocabulary for scent that transformed how she approaches flavour. She describes her role less as mixing and more as composition: identifying which notes carry, which rest, and where the silences matter.

Each Verdaine blend took between 18 and 36 months to finalise. Hundreds of iterations. The final four were those that made her pause mid-sip.
